Forest School is available to all year 4 children at some point throughout the school year.

The ethos of Forest School is to provide an opportunity for personal growth and development whilst engaging with nature. Those who take part will be given the chance to develop their curiosity, confidence, self-esteem, creativity, empathy, communication skills, knowledge of nature and a love of it. There really is something to be gained for everyone!

While on-site the children will take part in various activities that could include: tree climbing, exploration, team games, imaginative play, natural crafts, rope play, den building, mud play, natural art, campfire, outdoor cooking, tool handling or anything your child wishes to try that is safe.  The children will be encouraged to take constructive, managed risks in order to develop a sense of responsibility, good judgement and learn to manage their own and other’s risks.
